It wasn't that hard. They where at the top of the stairs. The tough job was a repaired stair that was freshly poured concrete. It stood out bad in the original photo.

ahh I bet!! I'm not that great at my editing skills (no photoshop) but decent enough for what I need.

I edit mostly with helicon filter. I find it to be more user friendly in regards to editing.

A program I purchased online last October when I started doing photo manipulations for about 75 dollars. It does basic photo editing but the feature I use the most is the advanced retouching options. With it I can selectively recolor, lighten/darken, clone or merge two images into one: "all the good stuff :D. Photo shop does all the same plus more. I just like the layout of Helicon better when fine tuning a manipulation.

I've haven't tried gimp yet. Likely will in time, I fiddle with new software every now and then. Some are useful for art, some simply destroy a perfectly good picture.

The POV of the camera is very interesting, also the variation of values. The colors seem a little dull and washed out especially at the horizon which the stairs lead the eye to pretty immediately.

Thanks for your comment and :+fav: The point of view is the main reason I took the time to make the photo more user friendly for artists. Most stair stocks are straight or spiraled; while this one curves with the contours of the land, making it less common. :D
